The greatest hike in tucson

Yes that's right i have just been on the greatest hike in the Tucson area. This hike is kinda like a better version of sabino canyon that you don't have to pay for and can have more fun at. So the place is tanque verde falls trail. Its not really a trail, the only trail is down to the river, but then its the fun part because its a go look around were ever you want kinda deal. So me and Brooke started to look around and look for something fun to do, and we did we found some small water falls and took some pictures of them and eat wheat thins. Well we had been down by the water for some time and then we decided that it was time to go home. We then noticed that a man and his girl friend were coming up behind us, and they asked us if we had seen the falls. We were both like, yeah we see the falls right in front of us. Well he told us that he leads hikes in the area and there is a really big water fall up the river. So we followed him deeper in the river, he showed us some cool stuff to like a little cave that acted as a spiral stair case to higher ground. So we finally got to another water fall and it was pretty cool it was more like a skinny water slide, but it was still about 40 feet long so it was better then what we had expected. But from this water fall if you looked in the distance you could see the top of a huge water fall, so we hiked for 5 more minutes and came to this awesome water fall in a big pool with canyon on either side. I've got the pictures below if the waters falls, the big one was like 100 feet high. It was the coolest hike that I've ever done in this area.......hand down.

P.S. also the old naked looker made an appearance....who would have thought

Fantasy Island

Thats the name of where i go mountain biking, yeah it sounds fruity but its a great place to go biking. I've been doing alot of biking there like almost every day i've been back, and Brooke really wants to go with me, but she doesn't want to slow me down. So i tell her how hard it is, and that i can find an easier trail to begin her on, but she insists that she will just go her own pace and let me go as fast as i want. Brooke has the mountain biking experience of pretty much Abbi so i took some pics of the trail to give her an idea of what its like, and these are those pictures.

D.C. Trip

Here are some pics of what Kerry, Abbi, Sadie, and I did during our time in D.C. Obviously, we went to more places, but here is a sampling of what us four did at the zoo:

1) Sloth Bear
2) Abbi with "Cheetarah" and a friendly stuffed bear that WASN'T purchased
3) A male lion (who we have on film roaring)

4) Turtles doing, well, ya know!

A night in the woods....and a puppy

With recent events beyond my control i had been given a little bit of time that normally i would not have. So me and brooke decided it would be time to do a little bit of camping. So we went on the mountain and found the only camp ground open. It was a small tent only camp ground that had 11 spots. He sent up shop and did the wonderful camping things that people love to do, like look for firewood, start a fire, and explore the area. It was a small camp ground so there was no running water and there was only 2 pit toilets. I hadn't packed any water but this wasn't a problem because i had my life straw. Now the life straw is a huge thick straw that will filter everything bad out of water for 700 liters of use. Its kinda hard to drink out of its about the same difficulty to suck an arbeys jamoca shake through a church coffee stir straw, but if thats the price i have to take to not poop my brains out, then i'm willing to do that. Since we could make a fire i got to see the excited little girl version of brooke around a fire. She is afraid of fire but loves to lite matches and throw them in the fire. She likes to throw pine needles in the fire. She also likes to throw huge logs in the that smother it. I got a bunch of good photos, and i'm getting very camera savy with my new camera, it also snowed when we woke up, so enjoy some pics around the camp site.

p.s. ben also got a puppy, black lab mix with something
