BOOM! Its me. Yep thats right who ever catches the first turtle of the year wins at life. I win. I found him south of the lake on the road....I almost caught him with my front right tire. But since I love nature, and nature love me, I saved him and plopped him in the water in the little lake. But not before I used my awesome picture taking skills to take some awesome pictures of him.

Kirk, I'm 99% sure it is a "her". It is egg laying season right now for the lady snappers, but there is no reason for the gentlemen snappers to be wandering around that far out of the water.
Catching a musk turtle (unmotivated rock with legs) is like catching a cold. Everyone can do it and usually you don't try.
I figured it was looking to lay, but as we all know the road is no place for baby turtles.
